Kai Havertz is on the verge of bidding farewell to his Chelsea teammates, as sources have informed Football Insider that he is set to make a move to Arsenal in a high-profile deal worth a staggering £65 million.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been underway for the past few weeks, and it appears that both parties have been committed to finalizing the transfer.

The highly-talented German international wasted no time in reaching an agreement on personal terms, showcasing his enthusiasm for the new challenge that awaits him.

In fact, Havertz engaged in a discussion with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, during which he expressed his excitement and eagerness to work under the guidance of the Spanish tactician. Arteta, in turn, assured Havertz of his commitment to developing the player’s potential, vowing to help him become “the best version of Kai Havertz.”

While the recently appointed Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, had expressed his desire to work with the 24-year-old midfielder, the club’s board has prioritized offloading several players to balance the squad.

Astonishingly, a staggering 80 percent of the current Chelsea squad is reportedly available for transfer, as the board looks to generate funds through player sales.

In the meantime, Arsenal is poised to make a significant splash in the transfer market this summer, with the imminent arrival of Havertz serving as the first major signing.

The Gunners are rumored to be targeting additional high-profile signings in the coming weeks, highlighting their ambition to bolster the squad significantly.

Conversely, Chelsea is diligently working on securing departures for a number of their star players. The likes of Hakim Ziyech, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy are all expected to leave the club, with Saudi Arabian clubs reportedly expressing interest in acquiring their services.

Furthermore, negotiations are also ongoing for the potential exits of Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Romelu Lukaku, Trevoh Chalobah, and Christian Pulisic.
